Whale & Turtle COMBO TOUR

Whale watching is one of the most impressive activities in nature you can participate in. Of all the whales, the humpbacks(Megaptera novaeangliae) are the most spectacular ones thanks to their breaching, lobtailing, flippering and their beautiful songs, which are part of their courtship rituals. Wildlife Connection offers you the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable encounter with these friendly giants who arrive to Puerto Vallarta to mate and give birth, during the winter months, year after year. WHALE AND DOLPHIN WATCHING

During winter we combine the whale watching with the dolphins in the wild tour so you will have both in the same tour for the price of one (Only in the morning tour).  The whales come here to mate and to give birth, so you will have the chance to see baby whales and the lots of activity on surface such as breaching, lob tailing, fluking, flippering as part of their courtship. There are also dolphins (mostly only on the morning tour), we can find bottlenose dolphins, big groups of spotted dolphins or spinner dolphins, groups of rough toothed dolphins and  with luck we can find Orcas or False Orcas. Also there are huge chances to see giant mantas swimming close to the surface or jumping out of the water and marine turtles resting on the surface of the water. Sometimes we get in the water with the dolphins as well. We have hydrophone on board so you will have a nice chance to hear whale songs and the dolphins communication. Our guides are specialists in cetaceans, Biologists with Masters Degree in Marine Ecology, Science Journalist and Professional Wildlife Photographer (National Geographic magazine and Animal Planet).We have some research programs with whales and dolphins, and during the tour we will share with you this information and you will have the opportunity to participate on our research.  Your participation on our tour it's what makes our research possible, and our research and experience helps us to GUARANTEE 100% that we can find the animals if not your money back.

  1- OPEQUIMAR (Vallarta). Located across the street from Westin Regina Hotel in Marina Vallarta.
  2.-YATCH CLUB (Nuevo Vallarta). Located beside the Paradise Village public pier.
• Light Continental breakfast is served while you receive an educational explanation to introduce you to the world of whales as well as information about the different species of dolphins in the bay and their habitat.
• 08:30 Departure from: OPEQUIMAR/ Nuevo Vallarta. Whales and dolphins are searched inside the bay, the time to find them varies. Once they are found more information about them is provided. Big chances to see giant mantas, marine turtles and with lot’s of luck Orcas.
• 13:00 Arrival to Puerto Vallarta/ Nuevo Vallarta.

We use a small boats because is the best way to get close to the animals with low impact. Our boats are  a 26ft, 27 ft and 33ft shaded fast boats , with 12, 14 and 20 pax of capacity (depends the number of passeguers the boat or boats we use). So it's a private and personalized tour.

Marine turtles have been able to survive for more than 200 million years and successfully faced such dramatic events in the history that brought countless species to extinction. Nowadays however, due to human activities, they belong to some of the most endangered species of fauna. Wildlife Connection offers you the opportunity to visit a turtle camp, where you will participate in and support the conservation of these ancient creatures. We release baby turtles every night.

TURTLE CAMP

The tour goes to the area of Nuevo Vallarta where the National Protection of Marine Turles has the official Turtle Camp. We will visit all the facilities of the Turtle Camp to understand the protection program and it's importance. We patrol the beach to search for a female laying eggs but we can't guarantee females as they don't have specific time or place to lay their eggs. When we finish patroling we will go back to the turtle camp and release baby turtles to the ocean, we GUARANTEE 100% that we will have baby turtles every night if not your money back. Our guides are Biologists with Masters Degree in Marine Ecology, Science Journalist and Professional Wildlife Photographer (National Geographic magazine and Animal Planet). This allows us to provide a qualified, specialized and professional service.

  3.- STARBUCKS AT PARADISE PLAZA. This Plaza is located in Nuevo
  Vallarta, close to Paradise Village Hotel.Coffee, juice and cookies are served on the way to the observation area, while guests receive an educational explanation to introduce them to the world of birds as well as information about the various species of birds in the area and their habitat.
• 21:10 Arrival to turtle camp. Guests receive an educational explanation to introduce them to the world of turtles and their conservation.
• 21:30 Female turtles laying eggs are searched on the beach
• 22:30 Baby turtle release.
• 00:00 Arrival to Puerto Vallarta.
